Aurora Theatre Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines

Following Wilson Butler’s trend-setting main theater design for RCI’s Voyager Class ships, WBA designed the Aurora Theater, onboard the first of the more intimate “Radiance” Class ships. Designed as a contemporary room, the theatre’s seating is divided into an orchestra, parterre and two balconies, and the stage features a proscenium with a full fly-loft behind.

The interiors were inspired by an abstract rendering of the forms and colors found at the water’s edge, and is meant to recall and reinforce many of the patron’s impressions of the ship’s coastal destinations.

Since our theater design for the first Radiance Class ship, Radiance of the Seas, WBA has designed three additional 900-seat main theaters for the other three ships in this class.
