From the design of new performing arts centers to the restoration of venerable historic theatres; from high-tech entertainment venues, to educational facilities dedicated to students of performance and fine arts, Wilson Butler Architects designs for the arts and entertainment.

Scott Wilson, Scott Butler, and Bruce Herrmann bring today's clients over 25 years of design dedicated to these creative arts. We provide these services with a deep belief in a collaborative design process with the entire building team.

The firm's focus on architecture for arts and entertainment is the product of the Directors’ careers designing performance and cultural facilities. We provide services in architecture, interior design, feasibility studies, programming, master planning, and urban design. From our work on over 50 arts-centered projects, that include urban performing arts centers, community cultural centers, college and university Schools of the Arts, and high-tech entertainment venues for the cruise-line industry, we bring each new design a deep and detailed understanding of the sophisticated requirements and subtle nuances that make today's best performance spaces.

From our Boston-based studio we work nationally, often with regional architectural partners. Scott, Scott, Bruce and our senior staff guide each project with care, humor, creative responsiveness and a passionate commitment to each client, each step of the way, from programming and fundraising to groundbreaking and opening night.
