Hancock County
Cultural Center
Findlay, Ohio
Wilson
Butler Architects, working with arts management consultants, AMS, was
called upon to study the proposed construction of the Hancock County Performing
Arts & Cultural Center. The suggestions included complete renovation of
the existing Main Stage Theatre in the Findlay Middle School, modernizing
the facilities while maintaining an optimal number of seats. Other spaces
to be renovated would include the existing gymnasium into three double-height
rehearsal spaces, and the library and principal's office into a new grand
lobby. New spaces to be created include a 300-seat Studio Theatre, concession
and restroom facilities, new dressing room and green room facilities,
new costume and scene shops, and new elevators to allow for access to
all levels.
