Orange County Performing
Arts Center
Costa Mesa, California
This
project consisted of site evaluation and conceptual planning for a new
2,200-seat concert hall and a 700- to 900-seat proscenium theater expansion
to the existing Segerstrom Hall. Options were considered for program and
site placement in various configurations. A viable solution was arrived
at by presenting plans and models to the client. The scheme provides expanded
administration areas for OCPAC staff, the South Coast Repertory, Opera
Pacific and Pacific Symphony Orchestra as well as future expansion space
for a planned performing arts conservatory or academy. 300,100 g.s.f.
Projected 2002.
