Park Mall at Temple University
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Park Mall is a 60,000 s.f. project at the heart of Temple University's campus, which involved the revitalization of two historical row-house blocks and ultimately provided needed services and amenities. Program elements included a campus inn, retail shops and services, restaurants, fast food venues, office space and student apartments. In addition, plans for the Park Mall plaza involved both movable and permanent outdoor seating, lighting, landscaping, information and retail kiosks. At the center of all this is an intimate amphitheater for planned and spontaneous performances. The revitalized Park Mall creates a lively new "Main Street" for the University along the existing spine of its campus. Providing an exciting gathering place not only responded to the demand for services and amenities but also strengthened the sense of campus and community at Temple University.

Wilson Butler collaborated with architects Piatt Associates and Stegman & Associates, working for the project development team of Franklin Realty Advisors and Somerset Holdings, Inc. Estimated cost is $10,175,000, not including tenant fit-out.
