Background
Mr.
Butler has 19 years of diversified experience in "entertainment architecture"
and retailing. His portfolio of projects range from classical concert
halls to popular nightclubs and "themed attractions," and from urban street
design to academic student centers. Much of Mr. Butler's work reflects
his broad knowledge of retail marketing and successful commercial appeal.
His work is characterized by innovation and an ability to conceive straight-forward,
yet creative, solutions to challenging problems. Prior to forming Wilson
Butler Architects (formerly known as Wilson Butler Lodge Inc.) in 1997,
Mr. Butler worked with Benjamin Thompson and Associates for 6 years, serving
as a designer on the Broward Center for the Performing Arts from 1985
to 1988, with D'Agostino, Izzo, Quirk, Architects from 1988 to 1994 and
served as an Associate with Rothman Partners, Inc. of Boston from 1994
