Senior Associate

I spent the better part of the first 18 years of my life in Middletown, New Jersey. Middletown is an ever expanding bedroom community about 45 minutes south of New York City about five miles west of the Jersey Shore. After graduating high school, I left Middletown for College Park, Maryland where I began my architectural studies at the University of Maryland (Go Terps!). For me, the University of Maryland was nearly the perfect fit. The campus is located about 10 miles north of downtown Washington, DC and 30 miles south of Baltimore, MD and I spent a lot of time exploring these vastly different cities during my undergraduate studies. Along the way, I developed life long friendships and an insatiable thirst for "Big Gulps" while receiving a quality undergraduate education.

In 1986 I graduated from Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture. In the fall of the same year I began my graduate studies at Maryland. The following summer I was fortunate to have the opportunity to study abroad in Italy. Since my first trip abroad, I have traveled to most of Western Europe, Scandinavia and Russia as well as a good portion of the United States.

Upon returning to Maryland in the fall of 1987, I began working for Stoiber & Associates (S&A), a boutique architectural firm in Washington specializing in residential and light commercial work, while continuing my graduate studies part-time. In the years to follow, I completed my Masters Degree in Architecture, obtained my Architectural License and started a successful small development company while working my way up to an associate with S&A.

Eleven years after starting at Stoiber & Associates, I left Washington and moved to Boston. I began working with Warren Freedenfeld & Associates (WFA) as an Associate in January of 1999. Specializing in veterinary care facilities, WFA was a vast departure from the work I had been doing in Washington; I stayed with WFA until September of 2000. Since starting here, I have had the opportunity to explore another architectural building type (performing arts) while working with some of the brightest and most fun-loving people in the business.
